✨ Saint Clare of Assisi — "We become what we love." Founder of the Poor Clares, the first woman to write a religious rule approved by Rome, and protagonist of the most celebrated Eucharistic miracle in Franciscan history: when the Saracen army scaled the walls of her monastery in Assisi, Clare went out to meet them, holding the monstrance with the Holy Eucharist — and the invaders fled in terror. Because of that miracle, she is also the patron saint of television and film (the monstrance projected the image like a screen). This devotional illustration in baroque oil painting style shows her at that moment of total faith: a dark brown Franciscan habit with a white wimple, holding the radiant golden monstrance with the Consecrated Host, white lilies by her side, her gaze raised to the sky, and the Basilica of Assisi in the background in celestial light.
